Progressive Rail Specialized Logistics, headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota, was formally launched in February 2003. Previously our services had only been available to Progressive Rail, Incorporated's online railroad customers. Due to positive customer response to these professional logistics management services, Progressive Rail Specialized Logistics was started to serve customers throughout North America.

Progressive Rail Specialized Logistics provides turnkey, multi-modal transportation solutions with an emphasis on over-dimensional products, agricultural and construction machinery, heavy vehicles, steel, oil field supplies, waste and hazardous materials.

With Progressive Rail Specialized Logistics, customers take advantage of rail’s benefits, including lower transport costs and larger, heavier loads - without being a rail-shipping expert. Not directly served by rail? We will arrange origin or destination truck drayage. We can also arrange for truck transport for fall-off pieces of a larger rail load or arrange to ship loads exclusively by truck.

We will move one piece, coordinate a project, or manage a whole shipping program. Shipping program management can include fleet management, railcar acquisition, administration of FRA and AAR compliance, and railcar retrofitting to meet customers’ unique products and shipping patterns. We manage traffic throughout Canada, United States, and Mexico.
